  1. Thanks for sharing Elliot!

Don’t really like the comment on how domainers bought a word like McDonalds then sold it to McDonalds. That would be a TM and we as good domainers do not do that at all but…

Overall a nice positive interview on domaining!

    Great interview Page.
You are a great representative for domaining, which is triple cool!

  2. Congrats to Page Howe! Page, thanks for representing your colleagues well. Perfect example of a “rising tide” for our industry.

Thx to Elliot for staying on top of things and for making it just a bit easier for the rest of us to do likewise (e.g., embedding that video rather than just tossing in the link).

As for the emoji domain names, I’m reticent to back them because of their inherent security weaknesses. Also, for marketing purposes, they don’t usually pass the radio test.

I don’t begrudge anyone who can profit from them, but I suspect there will be significant operational issues once the bad guys start in with their exploits.

  3. Do have to smile at the domain name ransom rubbish some still use the prime property /land example Your smart enough to stake your claim you want a greed comparable look at bitcoin tulips Do not hear any bitching about that until the bubble bursts.

  4. J

I hear you on the ransom domaining, I didn’t produce this piece, they came down and interviewed me, hopefully I dulled it a little from what it might have been. – was able to build some rapore with them and tried to educate a little….

    cheers
