Disney Job: Domain Names Project Specialist

I saw a job posting that might be of interest to someone with experience and expertise in the domain name space. Disney posted a job opening on LinkedIn for a Domain Names Project Specialist. It appears that the job will be based out of Disney’s Burbank, California headquarters.

Here’s the gist of the job’s responsibilities, which focuses on in-house domain name management:

“This role will focus on overall project management and request fulfillment for the many different workstreams the team handles on a day-to-day basis. Request fulfillment includes everything from working with customers on full product cycle requests (requirements gathering, project planning, confirming milestones, and communication with the customer) to updating status on daily request flow. Project management includes everything from simple domain name registrations to complex DNS redelegations that require coordination with multilple teams. There will be extensive cross-training with other team members to occasionally provide out of office coverage.”

Although Disney does not have any specific requirements for job seekers to have domain industry experience, I think it could be helpful. I also think if they made that a requirement for this job opening, it would shrink the pool of qualified candidates quite a bit.

There is no information about salary or benefits beyond working at Disney, so you will need to inquire directly to Disney if this is of interest to you. At the time of publication, fewer than 25 people have applied for this job via LinkedIn.
