Did Endurance Acquire Endurance.com from DigiMedia?

Endurance International GroupEndurance International Group was in the news yesterday when Domain Incite reported that the company’s S-1 filing detailed a potential acquisition of Directi  in the $100 – 110 million range. There may be some other Endurance company news that I haven’t seen published.

I recently noticed a Whois change for the exact match Endurance.com domain name, and Endurance International Group is the new registrant. The company is now using Endurance.com for its website, as they had been previously using EnduranceInternational.com. At the present time, the company has the same website operating on both domain names. You can visit various internal pages on Endurance.com and EnduranceInternational.com and the url is interchangable.

Prior to the acquisition, this exceptional descriptive domain name had been owned by DigiMedia, and it was parked on the company’s Yeah.com PPC page. In fact, up until September 7, 2013, the domain name was owned by the Oklahoma-based domain investment and development firm. I reached out to Digimedia President Jay Chapman and company founder Scott Day to ask if they could offer any information about this on behalf of their company, and they would not comment.

Whatever the situation is, Endurance.com is a high value domain name, and I can only assume Digimedia did well.

  1. I’ve enjoyed exploring the parent company and it’s subsidiaries on their website link, thank you for sharing it, Elliot—Most services supported by Linux rather than Microsoft or Mac…..I will steer clear.

I must say I sense a great organizational, relaxed and methodical approach to them, very nice. I just might start up yoga soon. 🙂
