Dharmesh Shah Launches “Domain Appraiser” Agent on Agent.ai

Dharmesh Shah is most well-known for being a Co-Founder of HubSpot. Notably to domain investors, Dharmesh has been involved in a number of high value domain name acquisitions, including Chat.com, Connect.com, You.ai, Wordplay.com, and quite a few other domain names. Dharmesh has spent tens of millions of dollars acquiring valuable domain names.

Dharmesh recently launched Agent.ai, a website that allows people to create and use AI agents to accomplish various tasks. Over the weekend on LinkedIn, Dharmesh announced that he created a domain name appraisal agent within the Agent.ai platform:

It’s interesting to see what factors are considered for the appraisal and how much of an impact each factor has on the appraisal. Not only does the appraisal agent provide a valuation range, but it also offers a brief qualitative summary about the domain name. In addition, there’s a section with an extensive list of the logic behind each appraisal.

I checked a handful of favorites from my portfolio, and here are some of the appraisals:

  • Embrace.com – $1 million – $1.5 million
  • Logical.com – $500,000 – $1 million
  • MLR.com – $250,000 – $350,000
  • SelfCare.com – $1.5 million – $2 million
  • SparkPlug.com – $250,000 – $500,000
  • Flashpoint.com – $500,000 – $1 million

You will need to have an account on Agent.ai to be able to use the agent.

As with any automated domain name appraisal tool, one should take the results with a grain of salt. Domain names are dynamic assets, and there are many intangible factors that go into their worth and potential sale prices.

  1. I applaud anyone trying to make an accurate appraisal tool. Many state they rely on historical sales and algorithms based on many factors, but the results seem to be all over the place. I just had 5 of my names appraised, and I agree with 3 of them. There needs to be an “intangible” element and “trend” element when appraising, in my opinion. Dharmesh is brilliant, and my guess is that he and his team will figure this out and it may end up being the most accurate appraisal tool available for us in the near future.

  2. Best Domain Appraisal Tool I’ve used
Others are too low or too high
This one hits the appraisal/value pretty well

Not surprised at its accuracy as Dharmesh is a tech entrepreneur
