Stupid.com Goes on Sale via Sedo

Sedo domain broker Albert Schimmel is brokering a pretty amusing domain name, Stupid.com, which he mentioned on Twitter yesterday:

From the looks of it, Stupid.com is a fully developed website that says it has been online since 1998. It looks like the website is an online gift shop that specializes in gag and humorous gifts. I think a buyer could use Stupid.com in many different ways, with our without a gift shop selling products. I am not sure if the website, customer database, and any products are included in the sale offering.

When I think of Stupid (.com), there are quite a few people and companies who come to mind pretty quickly!

I have no idea how much the owner is looking to get for Stupid.com, but it is a neat brand, and I think it would be a fun domain name to own. Get in touch with Albert directly if the domain name is of interest to you or someone you know.

  1. I sold my domain name Dumb.com earlier this year. I am not sure if the buyer wants me to disclose the price, but I can tell you it was through a broker
(Andrei Polgar – http://domainingtips.com/dumb-com-for-sale-1-million-pageviews-1000-monthly-revenue.html) with an asking price of $350,000. It was an active site with 10,000 visitors a day. The buyer has not changed anything on the site since they bought it, so I am not sure what their plans for it are.

  2. Listed at Afternic with a minimum $450,000 offer. It’s been a full fledged website for over 10 years which definitely adds value. Seems like you would want to sell it with someone that can get the value of the domain plus the value of the business. I don’t think I have seen Sedo sell a domain that has an existing business on it.
