Sedo: PIN # Now Required for Calls

Sedo sent out an email to customers overnight letting them know about a change to its policy to enhance account security. Whenever a customer calls in to Sedo’s customer service phone number, they will be required to provide a personal communication PIN number to authenticate their account and verify that they are the account holder. The PIN number is also required when communicating with Sedo via an email address not associated with a particular customer account.

You can find your customer communication PIN number in the dashboard of your “My Sedo” area. Here’s an example of where to find this PIN number:

From what I can tell, this PIN number appears to have been automatically created by Sedo for its customers. I do not believe there is a way for a customer to change the PIN number on their own, although it may be possible to contact Sedo’s customer support line to change the PIN number in the event it is accidentally shared.

If you have any questions about the PIN number or Sedo account security, contact Sedo directly to discuss.
