Sedo: Compensation Has Taken Place Today

One final follow up on the DDoS attack that impacted Sedo parking clients  a couple of weeks ago. Sedo promised to make clients whole for any losses sustained as a result of the DDoS attack, and the company has made good on that promise.

In an email sent to clients this morning, Sedo informed them that “compensation for affected customers has taken place today.” The company has updated statistics in customer accounts to reflect the revenue that was earned during this time. In addition, “the total compensation amount will be added to the March “Corrector”* and can be consulted in the “Payments” tab of the “Parking Reporting” section.”

Full email from Sedo is below

we would like to inform you that parking compensations we announced have taken place today, Tuesday, March 27th.

What has been done?

– We have updated the daily statistics for March 9th-19th in your account so they fully reflect the revenue accrued by your portfolio during this time.

– We finalized the calculations for the necessary compensation for the ~3 hour DDoS downtime. The total compensation amount will be added to the March “Corrector”* and can be consulted in the “Payments” tab of the “Parking Reporting” section.

We invite you to look at your statistics and “Payments tab” to see the corrected amount, and apologize again for the inconvenience caused by this bug!
