Local Tips for NamesCon Austin

People are going to begin arriving in Austin, Texas for NamesCon in a little over a week from now. Although Austin is quite popular, this is the first NamesCon Global conference that will be held in the city. This is also going to be my first trip to Austin, and I am excited to explore the city a bit. If you have never been to Austin – or have not visited recently, there are two blog posts you should read with local tips.

Longtime domain industry veteran Pinky Brand from Registry Office shared some local tips to help guide investors who will be in town for NamesCon. You can read his tips in the blog post, and you can also watch the video embedded below:

Andrew Allemann, who lived in Austin for 25 years, also shared a blog post with some great tips about where to eat and where to visit when you’re in Austin. Although I typically wait until I am in the city to make plans, I am starting to do that in advance, and I appreciate the tips he shared.

If you’re coming to Austin from out of town, it sounds like a look at the weather forecast is a must before you depart. I am flying in from Boston, so it sounds like the weather will be an improvement for me, but it might be a bit on the chilly side.

Safe travels to those who are going to Austin. See you in a week.
