Dana Farber Uses .Gives for its Jimmy Fund

No matter what I do or where I go, I am always paying attention to domain names. When I notice an interesting domain name or domain extension in my “real world,” it always stands out to me.

This morning, I came across a tweet from The Jimmy Fund that promote its JimmyFund.Gives domain name. This marketing tool is being used in coordination with Dana Farber’s fundraising efforts during Childhood Cancer Awareness month:

The .Gives link is a url forwarding and tracking link use primarily for social media promotions. The domain name ends up resolving to the Jimmy Fund’s .org website.

As you may already know, The Jimmy Fund is part of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In fact, with your help, we have raised just shy of $75,000 for Dana-Farber and its Jimmy Fund through the Pan-Mass Challenge ride I have been doing for the past 7 years. In addition, my wife is running the “virtual” Boston Marathon on Saturday as part of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team to raise funds for Dana-Farber. It’s her fourth year running Boston with the DFMC team.

    • You would love everyone to stay ignorant, wouldn’t you Yakov?

So the unknowing will swallow up whatever BS narrative you wish to push? You parrot mainstream lies. You’re a troll shill! More on that below…

That’s all this industry is, echo-chambers of the same arrogant trolls that will smear, bash, and kick out ANYONE with any positive view on nTLD or basically anything. You insult our intelligence, integrity, and even tell lies about us. You spread them around, and attack us under multiple usernames, waiting for us to lash out against you. Then threaten to report us to our whole community, the officials, the FBI, have us admitted!

I’m not kidding guys, this is what these people are doing to some of us. They’re a real problem.

Maybe you don’t do it to Elliot so much, since he mostly likes just .com. Right, he hardly talks about nTLD the way some of us do.

You’re blind and evil. You’re a nobody. Nothing. No website, just a blank butter-face. You’ll fade like a fart in the wind someday soon, when the world rejects you the way that I do. A new username, you’ll transform into ‘something new’ to start your deceptions against -whatever- again. That’s what you are, a slug in life. Armchair bound and hating life. Do you get paid for this? No? Regardless, you’re an Internet -nobody-. A ‘domainer’ without a website. Imagine that. Shame, he has no website guys, LOL! GTFO.
