Using ChatGPT to Modify a Landing Page

I use Carrd for the landing pages for many of my higher value one and two word .com domain names. I don’t know the exact number of landing pages, but it’s probably more than 25. I’ve created and modified a few similar but different versions of the landing pages with the goal of driving traffic to the inquiry form on Embrace.com.

I have owned Receivables.com for a year or two. I have used a fairly simple landing page created with the help of Carrd, figuring prospective buyers would know why they want it and submit an offer via the inquiry form.

You can look at a screenshot of how Receivables.com has looked for quite some time:

I decided to use ChatGPT to modify some of my landing pages to make them more compelling. The prompt I used was fairly simple:

“I own and want to sell Receivables.com. I want you to design a compelling landing page for this domain name. It should extol the virtues of this one word .com domain name and offer insight into why it holds significant value and can help a global brand. Please add your own graphic if you would like.”

ChatGPT created a landing page for me. It even offered a preview of the landing page design to view it. I opted against using the exact design, but I inserted much of the copy and headings from the ChatGPT prompt into another Carrd template I have been using. You can visit Receivables.com now to see how the new landing page with ChatGPT input.

One of the neat things about ChatGPT is that it will spit out HTML that can be used to create a fully out of the box landing page design. I didn’t love the image or full design that I was provided, but i didn’t play around to try and modify or improve it. Others probably would have spent time on additional prompts – and I still may do that.

I do not know if the updated landing page will drive leads or sales, but I figured I would give it a shot and see what happens. I did the same thing to my Chickadee.com landing page and think it also turned out pretty well. I will probably make some changes to other landing pages based on ChatGPT input.

  1. Good to read! It’s impressive to see how ChatGPT can be used for quick landing page modifications, especially for domain investors who may not have time to dive into coding.
I appreciate the practical examples shared — they really show the potential for streamlining small tweaks that make a big difference in presentation. Thanks for sharing your experience with integrating AI into domain development!
