My son plays soccer pretty much year-round. In the Winter, his team practices a couple of times a week, but they don’t have a regular match schedule beyond a single tournament in Florida. To supplement this, he plays for his club’s Futsal team in the Winter. Futsal is a small-sided version of soccer played indoors on a hard court with a smaller and heavier ball.
Last weekend, my son played in the Northeast Regional Championship tournament in Atlantic City, NJ. It was a high intensity tournament with the best teams from the entire region.
Because of the size of the tournament, players were given tournament passes to get into the Atlantic City Convention Center. One thing immediately stood out to me. The US Futsal Federation – the governing body for Futsal in the US – owns and uses Futsal.com. I don’t think there is a better domain name for anything related to Futsal.
Futsal.com was created in 1996. Archive.org shows the US Futsal Federation has been using this domain name since then. Someone had the wise foresight to register this domain name 30 years ago. Well done.

Will you be buying World Cup tickets at $10000 per ticket?
Don’t be surprised that the World Cup be played in Canada and Mexico.
BTW…happy Lunar New Year…
Happy Horse Year
Great reporting and always looking out for those domains when travelling.. Please LMK when your down in florida for soccer.. My U15 son’s team also plays year around and doing most of the tournaments.. Would love to sync up at one of those events in florida.. peace,, chad F.
Well, it depends on how you define “best domain name”. To me, I would not consider a brand and TLD-mismatching domain name the best one.
usfutsal (dot) org would be the best domain name for them, in my opinion, because it not only matches their brand and also denotes their nature. They have that one and use it for redirection, though.
