Spaceship Hits 5 Million DUM

Spaceship announced a big milestone this morning. The registrar now has more than 5 million domain names under management (DUM). This metric is used to compare the size of a domain registrar, and it can also be used to show growth. In fact, the company highlighted that it only took two months to go from 4 to 5 million DUM:

According to the most recent update at DomainNameStat.com, Spaceship currently sits as the 14th largest domain name registrar by DUM. It should enter the top 10 registrars by DUM when it passes the 7 million DUM mark. At its rate of growth, I would not be surprised if it enters the top 10 in early 2026.

By comparison, GoDaddy is the largest domain registrar with 88.5 million domain names under management. Namecheap, Spaceship’s sister company, is the second largest domain registrar with 26.4 million domain names under management.

  1. Congratulations to Spaceship on achieving 5 million domains under management landmark. 👏 I would like to request the management to improve, response and update their Customer Service, Live Chat etc. If the customers are not given satisfactory response, then further progress will be derailed.
