Peter Askew Sells DudeRanch.com

I can’t say I ever had the desire to take a vacation on a dude ranch, but Peter Askew’s development of DudeRanch.com made that an appealing thought. Over the years, Peter shared photos and stories about his development of the brand he built, and I found myself researching a dude ranch vacation with my family.

Nearly a month ago, Peter mentioned that he was considering the sale of the domain name and business. Yesterday, Peter followed-up indicating the business was sold for an undisclosed amount. The deal was closed via the Quiet Light brokerage:

Peter has been very open in his development journey. With DudeRanch.com, Peter built a platform for dude ranches to advertise their businesses. People looking to visit a dude ranch could learn more about each local dude ranch and what they could expect to find there. Peter immersed himself in the business, and he became passionate about that industry.

It’s been great following along with Peter as he built and grew DudeRanch.com. I am going to miss seeing all of the photos he shared from dude ranch listings. I believe Peter still has RanchWork.com and I know he still operates VidaliaOnions.com.

Congratulations to Peter on the exit. I am sure he will find another great domain name to build a brand.
