NamesCon China Conference Announced

In an email sent to newsletter subscribers, NamesCon organizers announced that NamesCon will be holding an event in China in October. The one-day conference will be held in Shanghai, China on October 12, 2017. The Andaz Shanghai Xintiandi hotel (part of the Hyatt chain) will play host to NamesCon China.

Here’s what was said about the event:

“NamesCon has partnered with Racënt to bring NamesCon to China for the first time, touching down in Shanghai’s Xintiandi entertainment district on October 12, 2017. We’ve got a full day of keynotes, panels, and sessions in the works; closing out the day with one of our legendary domain auctions.”

NamesCon recently held a successful event in India in conjunction with WHD India. I do not believe there is another industry-related event being held in China at the same time. Organizers are expecting between 300-500 attendees at NamesCon China.

Tickets to attend NamesCon China cost $20 for General Admission or $120 for VIP Admission. The VIP ticket includes a “distinctive” VIP badge as well as “exclusive entry to a private dinner at one of Shanghai’s best restaurants.” There is also a small ticket purchase fee.

The event does not interfere with the dates of the Merge conference that will be held in Orlando, Florida from October 14-18, 2017. People who wish to attend both conferences could likely do so, albeit with a bit of jetlag.
