NameJet: “Big Changes are Coming”

On Friday afternoon, NameJet announced that some major changes are coming to the auction platform. The changes were outlined on a splash page, and include the following:

  • New look and feel
  • New process to place backorders
  • New option to remove backorder if you lose an auction on specific domain
  • New download file type choice of CSV or TXT
  • New way to pull Last Minute Board
  • And many others

Although NameJet did not provide any information regarding when the new website would launch, there is a maintenance message on the website indicating the changes could be coming very soon:

“Due to scheduled maintenance on Monday, June 19th, 2023 from 11:30 AM PT through 11:30 PM PT (2:30PM ET – 2:30 AM ET) the NameJet website and services will be temporarily unavailable. Auctions scheduled to end on Monday June 19th will be extended to Tuesday June 20th.”

  1. Is it me or did they remove domains with bids on them? I hope it has been removed to prevent the people that place back orders this way without doing the research! It used to show on the pendingdelete domains and now it does not. Hope it has been removed.
