Lotus.ai Sold for $400,000 via Brandforce

Last week, a company called Lotus Health made news when it revealed a $35 million round of funding. The company was founded in 2024 and has raised $41 million in total funding. The company now operates on the Lotus.ai domain name.

Following news of this round of funding, I was told the company acquired the Lotus.ai domain name for $400,000. The domain name had been owned by Brandforce, and the deal was brokered by Brandforce Co-Founder Louis Pickthall. Louis told me the deal was negotiated directly between his company and Lotus Health.

Lotus Health already owns domain names that match its branding, including LotusHealth.ai and LotusHealth.com. Acquiring Lotus.ai will give the company a shorter, more authoritative identity that is easy to remember, easy to type, and aligns with its positioning as an AI focused healthcare platform. It can eventually move away from “Health” in its branding if that is the direction the company chooses to go.

This sale helps to reinforce the growing market for valuable .ai domain names, particularly one word assets. As AI companies have been maturing and raising funding, deals like this have become more routine. Once it is indexed by NameBio, it will rank as the fourth largest publicly reported .AI domain name sale in the last year. I am sure there are many more that have yet to be reported.

  1. Thanks for reporting this, Elliot.

Good to see that the dot-ai (and domain market, in general) remains very strong.

A colleague of mine only mentioned this company last week to me, which was the first time I’d ever heard of them. They definitely are aiming to shake things up, which when it comes to healthcare in this country is long overdue.
