Employer.com Acquired for ~$450,000 via Afternic

Late last night, Jesse Tinsley, Founder of Recruiter.com, announced a large domain name acquisition. His company purchased the Employer.com domain name for $450,000 USD.

Jesse shared details about the acquisition in a post on X:

Notably, Jesse shared the reason his company spent nearly half a million to buy this meaningful one word .com domain name:

“Because it’s easy to remember and perfectly captures our vision: which is empowering businesses to onboard effortlessly and pay employees anywhere in the world with ease.”

I reached out to Jesse via X, and he shared that the domain name was acquired via Afternic. Jesse shared that the domain name had been listed for sale on Afternic, and he represented his company in the negotiation while the seller was represented by a GoDaddy/Afternic broker. This means the seller paid the sale commission and $450,000 was the total amount paid by the buyer.

This sale has been added to the list of recent one word .com domain name sales maintained on Embrace.com. Once it is recorded by NameBio and DNJournal, it will rank in the top 10 publicly reported domain name sales year to date.
