Daily Poll: Will Sports Betting Domain Names Become Popular?

Sports betting has been legal in a very limited number of jurisdictions in the United States, including Nevada. Yesterday, the US Supreme Court struck down a federal law banning sports betting outside of specific jurisdictions, and this should open up sports betting in areas throughout the US.

I believe a few states will allows sports betting in the short term, and other states will follow.

Now that sports betting will likely be more widespread across the US, I am curious if you think sports betting related domain names will become popular in the same way marijuana related domain names were popular? Participate in the poll below:

  1. I only have one gambling related domain name (2 word .com with “wager” in it) and it already received 2 inquiries this morning.

One from previous owner and one other east coast person.

    So….looks like nice interest.

  2. Yes- I believe they will- I have a few related names and they have received some inquiries earlier this year and had some very recent attention since the news has broken.

This new legal market is said to be huge so with that will be opportunities- will be interesting to see if blockchain/crypto will be a part of it as well.

    Cheers,

    Mike
