Breathe Luxury to Auction 14 Geo .TV Domain Names

I received a press release last night announcing that Breathe Luxury will be auctioning 14 geographic .TV domain names at the upcoming World Travel Market in November. The auction will be held in conjunction with the Holiday.com auction  that was announced at the end of August. World Travel Market is billed as “the leading global event for the travel industry,” and it reportedly has  50,000 participants.

The domain names that are being sold are top travel destinations, and they include the following domain names:

  • Africa.tv
  • Cannes.tv
  • Espana.tv and Spain.tv
  • Finland.tv
  • France.tv
  • Geneva.tv
  • Indonesia.tv
  • Korea.tv
  • Madrid.tv
  • Moscow.tv
  • Switzerland.tv
  • TelAviv.tv
  • Ireland.tv
  • Holiday.tv

Pre-bidding for these auctions will open on Monday, November 3 and will run until the beginning of the live auction, which will be broadcast at 5:30pm (GMT). Interested parties can sign up to participate in the auction on the BreatheLuxury.com website. I do not have information about the starting or reserve prices for these domain names, so be in touch with the auction house for more information.

I am not very familiar with Breathe Luxury, and the press release provided more information about the company:  “Breathe Luxury’s domain name brokerage service is led by domain broker/ consultant Mr Jag Singh, the luxury company specialise in luxury lifestyle management services and one of our core pillars to our business is our domain name brokerage and investment service, which connects sellers to buyers in the domain name after market. Our buyers range from private investors to businesses, seeking to acquire a premium domain name to strengthen their online presence.”

  1. I believe Spain.tv has a premium renewal of at least $1000/year. There may be others. This should be disclosed.

Personally I would prefer a tourist city name (i.e. Miami or Orlando or San Antonio) over a country name (United States).

  2. Leonard, I own Spain.tv and Moscow.tv both are premium, that will be disclosed. The other .tv names that I own with my partner Ammar in LegacyFund are reg fee renewals. Very excited about this auction, “end-users” targeting the travel industry. Had some really good sales in .tv in the past, and hopefully we will break records for .tv sales in 1 day.

    Thanks, Jim
