Atom.com Shares Priority Placement for Searches

Atom.com recently announcedone of the biggest updates to search and discovery” on the platform. The platform is making its search results less literal and more intuitive. By way of example, if someone searches for the term “baby,” instead of being solely shown domain names with the baby keyword in them, the platform will show domain names that could make nice brand names for someone starting a baby-related business. The blog post has many more details about the change.

Following up on this announcement, I received an email from Atom.com to let me know some of my domain names are receiving “priority placement” for thousands of keywords. The domain names were selected by Atom.com AI agents.

The email I received identified the top domain names in my portfolio that were selected for this additional exposure. Clicking through the link brought me to a page on my dashboard which showed additional domain names selected for this along with the associated keywords that my domain names. Atom.com users can visit their High Visibility Domains page to see data related to the searches.

I appreciate that Atom.com continues to use its data to improve the platform for buyers and sellers. Hopefully this will lead to additional sales for domain investors.

  1. So in other words they are manipulating the search results to favour selected sellers? The words “priority placement” tells me EXACTLY that, there’s no ambiguity there. It’s so nice that Atom AI agents “select” what or who THEY want to give you.

How about giving people a choice? If I search for “baby” I want precisely that term, not “toddler” or “rascal” or “little shits”.

Like I’ve always said… DITCH ALL AI… it is programmed for the benefit of the people who write it, not for YOU.
