Wanted: CityJobs.com Domain Names

I have a buyer looking to acquire US CityJobs.com domain names, such as BostonJobs.com, PhiladelphiaJobs.com, SeattleJobs.com…etc.  The domain names must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for acquisition.  If one is not met, please do not waste your time or ours since this is a very specific purchase:

  • US city with a population of 90,000 or more in the city limits
  • Exact city name like Boston or Detroit, not BostonMA or something else
  • .COM only
  • Domain registration must be pre-2004

Please post the domain name and price in the comment section or email it to me. Domain name must be priced. I am not taking a commission on the sale, so don’t mark it up for that purpose.

If you have any questions, please read above. Again, please do NOT waste our time with a domain name that does not meet all requirements. I can guarantee you that the buyer will not be interested in anything else right now.

  1. Interesting domain request. City jobs domains are quite hard to come by. The jobs & employment market will be front & center for many years to come. Much competition between the online jobs companies too … with lots of room for niche companies to make their mark.

  2. No range at all to go on?

I understand as you the popularity/size of the city will play a huge factor in price but would be nice to get a guideline.

  3. I have no idea what to ask for these (can you suggest an approriate price?), and would seriously consider offers.

    WASHDCGOVERNMENTJOBS.COM

    CHICAGOJOBCAREERS.COM

    LOSANGELESJOBCAREERS.COM

    SANDIEGOCAREERJOBS.COM

  4. @ Andy

    Good, but not for me.

    @ D Money

    I disagree

    @ David

I can’t, and those names aren’t interesting to me at all. Please don’t submit names that don’t meet the requirements I set or I will just delete the posts.

Range is variable, but I just bought one US cityjobs.com name, with the city population 88k, for under $500. It is the exact match city name and doesn’t have Ft. or St. in it. I may post the domain name later. I know of several for sale in this price range and will be buying a few.

  5. @ Ross

Because I believe most of the best ones were registered 2004 or before, so if nobody found it valuable enough before 2005 (or dropped it), I am pretty sure I wouldn’t be interested.

  6. This is a far-fetched request. Having a city jobs dot com with over 90,00 population and pre-2004 is hard to locate. Good luck in that. Maybe another domainer or company will sell to raise cash during the economic crunch.
