Nashua, NH (PRWEB) September 12, 2008 — Top Notch Domains, LLC is pleased to announce the acquisition of FrenchRiviera.com. The company will soon launch a vacation and tourist guide targeting visitors to the French Riviera, one of the most famous resort areas in the world. The company is not disclosing the amount of the transaction.
In addition to this news, the company also announces the launch of Secaucus.com, a guide to the city of Secaucus, New Jersey. Both of these announcements are aligned with the company’s strategy of developing informational websites on high value domain names.
“The French Riviera is one of the most glamorous destinations in the world, and I am excited to have the opportunity to develop FrenchRiviera.com into a world class travel website,” said Top Notch Domains, LLC President Elliot Silver. “FrenchRiviera.com is the first international geodomain the company has acquired, and I look forward to developing it. If you are visiting St. Tropez, Monte Carlo, South of France, or anywhere else on the French Riviera, FrenchRiviera.com will help you plan your trip – from hotels, to beaches, to night clubs and more.”
In addition to Secaucus.com and FrenchRiviera.com, the company also owns and operates Burbank.com, a guide to Burbank, California, Lowell.com, a guide to Lowell, Massachusetts, and TropicalBirds.com, a website with information and resources on tropical birds found throughout the world.
The company expects a full launch of FrenchRiviera.com in Q4 2008.

  3. Nice purchase Elliot. What a great name. I especially like your self interview.
I’m sure you are already aware of the free PR sites, but here is a quick list of a few I have used with success in the past. You may want to submit this release through these sites if you get a chance. It will help drive up mentions online and help with your inbound links. By the way, I am in no way affiliated with any of them.

  4. Let’s see…….you announce a great acquisition and the launch of another $$ maker site…..on the same day that your former employer continues to get pummelled in the stock market…………..are you sure you’re not second-guessing your decision to leave the corporate world? 🙂
    Sincere congrats.

  5. Elloit,
Congratulations on the new geo. Top Notch indeed.
I am travelling in Southern Europe this week. In Florence right now. There is definitely a large potential for more growth in European and international geodomains. Doing a bit of research while I’m here. The one thing I cannot wrap my fingers around is the TLD and language tradeoff. Obviously, buying the “.com” is perfect for the english translation and will be the prime site for english travellers (and other languages if you offer them), but I’m trying to figure out how much “local” presence can be made, or even if there is much extra money in the “local” side versus the “destination” side. It will be very interesting to hear your feedback as you grow the site.
Best of luck with the domain. I’m hoping we are able to do something similar with an international destination domain at some point. Would love to compare notes if it gets to that.
    Regards,
    Conor

  6. Why do you keep buying domains to places you know nothing about?
Now you’re gonna set up some type of authority site on somewhere you’ve probably never even been to.
Makes no sense that some guy from NH owns and develops the main domain for the Fench Riviera.
    ***UPDATED BY ELLIOT***
First off, your assumption is incorrect, as I have been there as well as many other places in the world.
Secondly, why would this make no sense?
Thanks for the good laugh though.
