I haven’t shared a list of my recent domain name acquisitions in a while, so I thought I would share some today. I have mentioned a few of these names in various articles, but I figured I would share a list of recent buys.
All of these domain names were either purchased privately, purchased through a domain broker, or purchased at auction (NameJet, SnapNames, and GoDaddy Auctions). These are not all of the acquisitions that I have made, and I did not share any recent acquisitions that have already been sold.
One thing that is evident is that I like one word .com domain names.  I sold several one word .com domain names that were also recently acquired, so those are not included in this list. I will buy meaningful two word .com domain names as well, but the price needs to be right and there has to be enough potential suiters and good upside. As you can see, I only acquire  .com domain names.
I am always on the hunt for great one word .com domain names, so if you have any for sale at prices that would make sense to me, please get in touch. You are welcome to share some of your acquisitions as well.

Very happy 🙂
These are some of the best names you’ve ever acquired if not the bet, Colonel.com and Stallion.com. Congrats !
Appreciate the thoughts… I prefer Travels.com and Embrace.com though 🙂
Travels.com not on the list but that would top them all. I bet it gets around 500 to 700 hits a month natural type in’s a month. This would not even count other traffic that comes in from old links. Elliot Redirect that to an travel affiliate program and you will make 2-5x more. Your probably only getting a few hundred off that a month right now.
That traffic is to valuable.
Donny
Makes a fair amount of money parked but I’d rather make it clear that I would sell the domain name for the right offer.
I would place Colonel.com as more valuable than all other three combined. Great catch and again, congrats!
CHICKENSEAWEED.COM
Yea, to play safe, you invest in one word (more liquidity) and and of course, dot com is KING
My portfolio of 50-4L domains I bought dirt cheap 4 years ago as low as $10 are getting high offers.
…so you can buy some coffee, now 😉
Fantastic list. Your lists always inspire me to get better domains. Here are mine from the same time period:

“I sold several one word .com domain names that were also recently acquired, so those are not included in this list”
If you have no problem, please share at least the number and duration.
Selling several names that too recently acquired ones – may be an exception in domain industry.
Anyway, congrats.
Sorry, I don’t really share information about any of my sales.

Hello Elliot,
You may be right on the whole to buy mostly one word domains. That being said we own single and double word names only. Some of our short two word Properties are much more valuable than our one word domains. There are so many more ancillary properties involved in Domain name values that have very little to do with traffic generating domains. We think that everyone will be seeing lots more short two name properties selling for Ultra-Premium valuations.STAY TUNED !

What are your domains ? You talk big Mr Tiger Stripes
Is always fantastic see a list not affected by chinese fad 🙂
Great names, and i can’t think to the others that have been sold. congrats
The comment above by Donny is 100% right. If these names get traffic, simply direct that to a Clickbank product, or a simple Amazon Associate review article. This will yield you WAY more money than a parked page. Makes no sense to me why Domainers dont get this concept. Its like having prime real estate in Manhattan but leaving it empty or just using it as a parking lot. You can still make it very clear that the domain is for sale, both on your webpage and on the Whois. This is what I am focusing on now! -Mike Maillet
I get the concept, but I don’t really have any interest in making a change like that for incremental income. I would rather have a clear “for sale” sign and eventually sell it for a lot of money.
Elliot, can you link to previous posts that list other domains you’ve bought?

Thanks for visiting.
Gladiators.com is a really nice name. In the last couple months we have acquired a few geo brandable names which could work well with video-oriented sites in a few major Colombian cities….

CartagenaTV.com (tourist city w/ metro population over 1 million)
We already had BarranquillaTV.com.
