Last week’s sales report from Sedo came out today, and the total amount of reported sales is about $800,000 USD. The highest reported sale was 3gstore.de, which looks like it’s been an active website. Memes.com was the second highest sale, closing at $30,000, and EuroEnergy.com sold for $26,000.
The total sales figure does not include a private sale closed by Sedo broker Dave Evanson, which is subject to a NDA. I spoke with Dave today and he indicated that there are a number of private sales like this closed every month that aren’t reported, so it would seem that the sales reports may just be the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

Given Sedo charges a fee for non disclosure it is higher unlikely reported sales would be the tip of the iceberg. I suspect 95%+ of sales would be getting reported.

If I was going to close a 6 or 7 figure private sale at Sedo or anywhere else for that matter and they said I would have to pay 5% extra to keep it private, I would ask them to either keep it private at no cost or let them know I’d go elsewhere.

The 6-7 figure undisclosed sale rarely happens though, we know that because when it does happen they make a big deal of it like has just happened.

There have been a bunch of 6 figure sales this year that were private, but there’s only so much buzz a private sale can generate. As much as I like Dave, this woudn’t have been worthy of a story in and of itself because it was private.
