Results from Sedo’s Keyword Domain Auction

Sedo hosted a keyword domain name auction that ended earlier today, and the full list of sales are below. There were 82 domain names that sold in the auction, and the gross revenue was just north of $30,000 USD.

The largest sale in auction was VirusCleaner.com, which sold for 8100 EUR. Rafting.org sold for 2788 EUR, and PilsBeer.com sold for $2,051.

The full list of sales is below. As usual, the report was sent the same day the auction closed, so these results are not yet confirmed. Once the buyers submit payment and the domain names are transferred to the new registrants, Sedo will report the closed sales to DNJournal and NameBio.

  1. All the names, and even better ones, when listed on domain blogs, such as TheDomains, get no action from domainers. They prefer to pay high prices for junk and dot nets at Sedo, and Godaddy.

  2. I can honestly say I wouldn’t hand reg but a dozen of these if available today. There were a few deals had, go back ten years and most these would be 4-5 figure names, damn you google šŸ˜€

  3. The marketing was shoddy, highlighting names wifes.net and filmsdownload.com in banner ads, both of which make no grammatical sense (and both look like they didn’t get a single bid). Who is in charge of Sedo? It is a long spiral down.

    No way does this auction deserve the title “Great Domains”.

  4. Come on… it’s obvious… a friend of Sedo wanted to get rid of their junk names, so Sedo took those in for the auction. All those .net’s?? Pigeon doodoo.
