Q3 Estimated Taxes Due

It is September 15, and Q3 estimated taxes are due! Many business owners in the US need to pay quarterly estimated taxes, and today is the due date for the third payment.

As it says on the IRS website, “If you mail your payment and it is postmarked by the due date, the date of the U.S. postmark is considered the date of payment.”

Mid year estimated taxes are usually the ones I am most likely to forget about paying. I generally have calendar reminders set prior to the due dates, but I sometimes hit snooze on the calendar reminder and forget about it. In case this happened to you or you didn’t set a payment reminder, here’s your reminder.

I am not someone who minds paying taxes. Paying taxes means my business is generating revenue, and it always beats the alternative. The next payment due date is January 15, 2016.

Anyway, there’s not much else to say about this other than to give you a reminder if your quarterly estimated taxes are due.
