My Domains That Get the Most Interest

Yesterday, I shared the 10 most common geographic locations of prospective buyers for my company’s domain names. I thought I would share the ten domain names that receive the most interest from prospective buyers.

The list below are the ten domain names that receive the most clicks on the inquiry link on their respective landing pages since May (I only included domain names I still own):

  • Travels.com
  • Stallion.com
  • Franks.com
  • Lilac.com
  • BoatRental.com
  • Gladiators.com
  • Stingrays.com
  • Exclaim.com
  • BargainHunter.com
  • Colonel.com / Milford.com (tie)

As with the information I shared yesterday, not all of the people who click on the inquiry link actually inquire about a domain name. I am planning to do some testing to see if I can increase the conversion rate to get more people to inquire. I am also going to see if having more people inquire is actually a good thing because most of the time the $50 offers are a waste of time, and with a small portfolio, I have no ability or interest in downselling lower value domain names to close a deal.

One thing to keep in mind is that domain names like Franks.com, Lilac.com, and Stingrays.com aren’t parked. The only links on the landing pages are to announce that the domain names are for sale, lease or available for some sort of joint venture. I would imagine this drives more clicks than the DNS parked pages which only have one for sale link at the top.

Certainly, am very glad you ask for the information.

  1. Nice list E, you’d think Franks.com would have been bought by the hot sauce company already. If they were smart!

  2. Honestly, Elliot, when am I not right about something here? 😉

Travels and Stallion, in keeping with what I’ve written before. And Embrace is a doozer. Hurry up and get enough money to retire already so you can feel more free to upset people with controversial topics.

  3. And someone needs to cover the topic of “domain licensing” (not to be confused with “leasing”).

It seems the industry has all but neglected this topic entirely.

It may even be a great alternative income route for you and your interests too.
