I was cleaning out my spam email folder this morning when I came across an email that I received shortly after hand registering a domain name for a friend via GoDaddy. I blocked out the domain name that was registered as well as the company that is promoting it.
I don’t hand register many domain names, so this was the first time I noticed an email like this.

Lol, I saw this first in Jul 2013.
They have a very catch subject ” Domain Registration Confirmation ” sender will appear as New Registration Help
So what ever there motive is, subject and the way they compose the email is very catchy and make users wanting to read it.
There main motive is to Drive Traffic to there two websites which are listed in this email.
Nothing but an upsell email masquerading as an official notification probably in the hopes to avoid your spam filters.
Yeah, but why would they want traffic for traffic’s sake?
I got one of these recently also, and first thing I thought was “what’s their angle?”. I couldn’t see how they were trying to scam/benefit from my reg. It would be a pretty odd branding exercise IMO.

Looks like they want recipients to register alternative TLDs in the keyword.
I have no respect or sympathy for these scammers. That shows their integrity and how low they can stoop.
