GoDaddy Acquires Another Portfolio for NameFind

GoDaddy has acquired another domain name portfolio, which will be added to the company’s NameFind portfolio. Jamie Zoch first reported the acquisition in a tweet this morning:

GoDaddy SVP and Aftermarket GM Paul Nicks confirmed that the company made the acquisition in an email to me. “I can confirm, we acquired another portfolio and are excited to price the domains and bring them to market,” he told me.

Unfortunately, the seller, size, and scope of the acquisition are not being revealed by GoDaddy. I believe the acquisition will be reported in a subsequent GoDaddy SEC filing, but GoDaddy typically lumps their acquisitions into one line item so the important details will likely remain private.

The acquisition does show that GoDaddy is still looking to acquire valuable domain name portfolios if the metrics work for the company.
