Go Daddy Releases First 2011 Super Bowl Commercial Clip & Reveals .CO Commercial to Air in First Half

Godaddy Super Bowl CommercialMore details about Go Daddy’s Super Bowl commercials have been revealed, and the company has released a clip of its approved Super Bowl commercial called “The Contract.” This commercial is expected to air during the second half of the Super Bowl.

The .CO-focused Super Bowl commercial will air during the first half of the game. The ad is expected to feature  a new Go Daddy .CO Girl, although the company has not revealed who the Girl will be.  I have been informed that current Go Daddy Girls, Jillian Michaels and Danica Patrick, will also appear in this commercial.

Go Daddy’s Super Bowl commercials always bring a lot of attention to the domain registrar, and I think it’s a good thing for domain investors.

  1. Love the company, but I’ve grown tired of the hype. If it’s attention-getting, great, but their commercials are cheesy and not funny at all compared to what other companies put out. (I realize it’s about eye candy, not humor, but still – it wouldn’t hurt to have some interesting situations, and good writing).

    I totally agree.

I really do get tired of how GoDaddy objectifies young women, who will be discarded by the company just as soon as they get that first wrinkle and gain a few pounds.

    🙁

Businesses like GoDaddy send the wrong message about the meaning of success, especially for the average-looking woman, who will have to succeed with what’s between their ears, not the photoshopped mask developed by ad agencies.

Let’s just hope that those women have some smarts because physical beauty fades, but stupid is forever.

  3. Yes, let’s hope Danica Patrick (top-notch racecar driver), Jillian Michaels (famous fitness guru), and Vanessa Rousso (very successful poker player) aren’t stupid.

(Hint: These aren’t your typical dimwitted supermodels.)

  4. I agree with the girls above. GoDaddy tends to exaggerate when it comes to exploiting the sex appeal of young women.

On a side note, as a non-English native, I don’t understand what Jillian says after Danica goes “This is over the top” and before the guy replies “We’re contractually obligated”. Thank you 🙂

  5. Hmmm, Go Tacky ad so far, lets hope the next part is better.

Maybe they would have a better chance if they hired Juan Valdez for their marketing.

  6. @Gazzipp

They did hire Juan Valdez …

He was refered by VP Joe Bidden but was
    apparently terminated after 1 week.

Mr Valdez was a Godaddy employee
for one week before he quit for reasons of discrimination.

Mr Valdez openly refused to shave his legs and stated that
he felt exploited and that the B Parsons CXompany only
wanted him for one thing, his beans.

Mr Bidden tried in vain to defuse the situation be revealing
that Barry shaved his legs every other day, when he is hot waxing.
    🙂

  7. Exploit women? How? Danica and Jillian are strong, beautiful women. The ad has a little fun with their sexy sides.

Do the Old Spice ads with the shirtless guy exploit men?

You want exploitation: See Victoria’s Secret, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, etc.

  8. @ em

I don’t care. I never said anything about the ads being exploitative. I just don’t think they’re funny, and humor is one of the things that’s always stood out among the SB commercials.

If women are running the show, they need to hire better writers.

  9. @SL – those girls are NOT supermodels – supermodels base their entire careers on being their looks so how is that a bad thing. It is their job.

ALso this is exactly what give godaddy more $$$ – controversy.

The more we talk about it – the bigger the hype gets – its all marketing.

I have no problem watching these commercials – if the girls did not want to do them or felt they were being exploited – then they should not have done it – end of story.
None of these girls need to be told what to do – I think they can make a decision for themselves

  10. @ Landon, no silly 🙂 – you must be confusing Juan Valdez with Hank Alvarez from Snapnames not GoDaddy 😉

    juanvaldez.com not hankalvarez.com

Juan Valdez has been around since about 1960 and sells coffee all around the world.

Even though I have only ever had one cup of coffee in 30 years I still remember their ads…hmmm, so is that good marketing or bad lol

by comparison I’v already forgot what the first goDaddy ad was about 😉

  11. You know what exploits womens..is the Bachelor. That show makes women look slutty and desperate. These commercial are ok and the ones knocking them down need to stop watching The Bachelor!!!!!! My Dot CO domains:

    Switchboards.co
    YFP.co
    Counterfeits.co
    ResidentialMortgages.co
    Compacts.co

    Take that!
