Domainers Choice Awards Nominees Announced

The nominees for the 2014 Domainers Choice Awards have been announced, and I have posted them below by category. Thank you to those who nominated me for awards. It’s always nice to be recognized by my peers, and I appreciate it, although I don’t believe I am deserving of either award. From the looks of it, there were some excellent nominations made.

Voting for the Domainers Choice Award winners will be made using a third party voting system. beginning on May 8th and run through midnight on May 30th. Award winners will be announced on June 28th at a ceremony in Dana Point, California. More information about the Domainers Choice Awards, voting, sponsorships, and the award ceremony can be found on the DCA website.

  1. Elliot

Thanks for the news and I’m deeply honored to have been nominated.

Regarding Dave Evanson, I love Dave but doesn’t he still work with Sedo?

How can he be an Independent Broker then, just seems strange.

Congrats to all the nominee’s including yourself.

  2. @ Michael..It was more than strange it was incorrect and my error.

It’s been corrected..I appreciate the heads up!

I’ve known Dave so long that to me he’s “just Dave”

I take my red face and hang my head in shame 🙂 sorry Dave and everyone!

    • AR – It’s amazing how you use only your first name when criticizing or “attacking” in the blog comments, but you use your full name when “supportive” or “positive”……..Character counts….It’s never too late to do the right thing.

    • Just saw this comment.

I know several people named Andrew who are in the domain business, and I am sure there are others I do not know because Andrew is a very common name. What makes you think Andrew Rosener is making other comments without his last name? Should every “Aaron” comment on blogs and forums be attributed to you?

    • Donna will you be releasing how many total votes each person in each category received. Would love to know the exact amount of people that actually voted.

    • Thanks for answering my question Donna.

On another note there is a person that deserves some recognition for a lot of the information that we read but unfortunately there is not a category on your list that he fits in. Raymond Hackney of Hybrid Domainer works tirelessly for many blogs including The Domains, Morgan Linton, Adam Dickers The art of the name, DotWhatever, Hybrid Domainer etc….Maybe some type of honorable mention would be nice. I am sure that many readers would agree with me.

      Thanks for your time

  3. We would like to thank those who nominated the DomainAgents family of sites:

    DomainAgents, Whoisology & Namebio

It certainly took us by surprise and we are extremely honoured to even be considered.

  5. Congrats to everyone, going to be tight voting to see who wins, we need an Oscar like name for the award. There certainly is nothing obvious about the outcome, because there is not one category where everyone is not a legit contender. Now it will become like awards season and the push behind the Oscars.

Ads in Variety, press releases, etc… ( I kid)

    Congrats on two nominations Elliot.

  6. favorite new gtld

There should have been an option of , None of the above.

Where are all the other GTLDS, why there were only three gtlds? what happened to .sexy, .directory, .estate, .company, .college, .holdins, .domains ?

    • @sukhjin I guess you didn’t vote. There was a space and you could write anything in it that you wanted. In all the categories. I didn’t suggest any, just let people write in their answers. There couldn’t have been a “None of the above” since there was just a blank space to fill in. The list Elliot posted was the top three choices people wrote in in each category.

I don’t mind criticism but you really have at least had a look at what you’re critiquing before you speak.
