Daily Poll: Will Rick Schwartz Return to Twitter in 2018?

Rick Schwartz seems to have shut down his @domainking Twitter account last week. Rick had a popular (and verified) Twitter account that shared insight and generated a great deal of discussion about domain names. I believe Rick also announced that he owns (or owned, whatever the case currently may be) seven figures worth of Twitter stock.

Rick announced his departure from blogging a few years ago, and he pretty much stayed true to that with only a handful of blog posts since that point. Today’s poll question is will Rick Schwartz Return to Twitter in 2018?

You are invited to vote in the poll below and are welcome to share additional thoughts in the comment section.

  1. Who cares? The real “Domain King” is Michael Castillo and his brother and Michael said recently he doesn’t have time for twitter. BTW Happy New Year.

    • Hello Elliot,

We have no idea what Rick will do, He is truly his own Man. You nor anyone else can Buy Rick. He is a straight shooting Whistle Blower who some people dislike for all the truthful remarks that come out of his mouth. Also this stuff about the old Guard change is Total B.S. (Rick is Smarter than 10 Frank Schillings. From being a Legacy Domainer myself, Believe Me he is the TRUE DOMAIN KING . PERIOD JAS

    • I’m in full agreement with Barry. Everything people need to read is on his blog, although it’s convoluted and hard to understand at times. Not a great written book, by any means.

I’d like to see Elliott take a more active role in thought leadership for the industry. He’s a man that tells it like it is and has tact, business etiquette and success.

Keep up the great work on this blog. And there’s your challenge for 2018 if you’re interested.

  2. It is better if rick also blogged since we believe its important to have and use our own domain and not be dependent on others…

By using twitter,FB we are just giving them more power. They want us all to stop using domains and use their platforms…

Just tweeting undermines possibly one of the arguments of why domains are important.

    I miss Rick’s blog!
    We want you back Rick!

    • Exactly he is working against his own point, control your domain, control your destiny, some zit faced hacker hacked Berkens, and caused chaos in his business, that he had to sue twitter over the xmas holidays, what a joke.

  3. Rick says it as it is.

Might disagree sometimes what says totally respect the guys views.

For all those newbies and oldtimers its great to see his posts when he reposts from past years is spot on with views.

Domaining is important to us all we need all major players to post.
