Daily Poll: How Much Would it Take to Buy Your Portfolio?

I am sure there are lots of people who would like to sell their entire domain name portfolio. Perhaps this is to enable them to start from scratch and rebuild it based on what they have learned over time. Some might sell their portfolio for a substantial amount of money and simply retire or move on to other investments.

If a major company or investor approached you and asked to purchase your entire portfolio, what number would it take to get a deal done? As always, you are welcome to share some additional thoughts about this in the comment section.

  1. I found that selling some domains for good money yearly is much more profitable than selling the whole portfolio at once at a low average price offered by bulk buyers.

I had observed the bulk average prices for .com portfolio sales of Marchex, Mike Berkens, BuyDomains, Sales to NameFind etc… They look much like an exit strategy by sellers due to their personal domain management and life reasons.

Some find bulk sales good, while some are good selling only a part of the portfolio yearly.

Further, i request Elliot to make a future post about potential bulk domain buying companies. For example: GoDaddy and what their basic criteria are for buying such portfolios. I am sure this would be of help to a lot of domain investors.
