Daily Poll: Better Investment – ccTLDs or New gTLDs?

In the DNJournal sales report and on NameBio, I see new gTLD domain name and ccTLD domain name sales. Although I do not have much experience with either, I keep my eyes on these markets to see what is selling and for how much. I also see what is reported to me or reported in press releases – like the $500,000 sale of Home.Loans.

I am curious which type of domain name readers believe would make a better investment. Although I stick to .com investments, I know there are people who have large portfolios of these types of domain names, and I am curious what readers think.

Today’s poll question: What is a Better Investment – ccTLDs or New gTLDs? You are invited to vote in the poll below and are welcome to share additional thoughts in the comment section.

  1. My belief is that gTLD’s will be strong in the short run but I see the country code and .US being stronger with greater global value as reputation (source country identifier) will be paramount in years to come.
