.Club Hits 1 Million Registrations

The .Club registry has hit a milestone – 1 million .Club domain name registrations. According to .Club registry CEO Colin Campbell, the milestone was reached at 3:15 this morning:

According to nTLDStats.com, there are just 5 new gTLD extensions that have one million or more registered domain names: .XYZ, .Top, .Loan, .Win and now .Club.

As I wrote a couple of days ago, the .Club registry released approximately 4,500 previously reserved domain names. These domain names became available to register yesterday, and I presume this helped the registry surpass the million domain name mark.

  1. Namestats, Registrarstats has 900K vs. 1 million. The discrepancy is related to names not having name servers assigned to them. This can happen for many reasons, including domain investors in China who do not get real name verified. Some domain investors simply do not care about using the names but flipping the names.

  2. You guys definitely deserve to have 1 million plus registrations with the amount of hard work you put into promoting, marketing, advertising etc you have put into the extension.

    Congrats to Dot Club!

What was the 1 millionth .club domain regged?
