  1. Another list of ridiculous reserves. Some of the cheaper domains may get some action but this auction was all about these names below and not one will get a bid.

Dubai.net – No Reserve Auction Starting Bid $1m
    Doha.com Starting Bid $2m
    Iraq.com & Iraq.net Starting Bid $3m
    Kuwait.com Starting Bid $2m
    Arab.com Starting Bid $5m
Nas.com No Reserve Auction Starting Bid $300k
GolfCourses.com No Reserve Auction Starting Bid $150k
Journey.com No Reserve Auction Starting Bid $1.5m
Paradise.com No Reserve Auction Starting Bid $1.5m
Crete.com No Reserve Auction Starting Bid $450k
    WorldHoliday.com TBA Live @WTM event
Holiday.com No Reserve Auction Starting Bid $5m

  2. I dont see any of these selling, iraq.net sold recently for $5k on flippa and now it and the dot com are being offered at $3m ya right…..

  3. While I agree that the prices are a bit steep, they make much more sense to me than someone asking just $20 for a worthless gtld.

    • and the hyphenated names starting at 25k are laughable too. The only names I see as a decent value would be Caribbeanvacation(s).com

  4. I’m not sure if the domain names will sell, but most of them are priced fairly. If you know the MENA market, you can understand the great potential of these names:

NAS.com @ $300K: It is “People” in Arabic. Considering the whopping number of young people in the Middle East region, a company can turn this domain name to a very successful social media. Regardless of the meaning, it’s still a brandable CVC domain name.

Doha.com @ $2M: What can I say about the potential of this city? They will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Just think about the tourism industry of this city over the next coming years.

  5. Nothing worth the price. As for GEO names, these are not lucrative travel destinations. End-users won’t make their investment back with these names.

We’ve seen better names sell for low 6 figures. That cabs.com domain was a super bargain at mid 5-figures. This is a great domain at an awesome price.

Whereas there are a few gems in this lot, the prices are far too high to make them worthwhile. How can a buyer earn revenue to make back their investment?
