Brad Larson Leaves Executive Accounts Group at Go Daddy

In July of 2006, well before I had my blog and after I had been working with a couple of good account managers at Go Daddy, I received an email from Brad Larson that said in part, “It’s my desire to continue providing you with exceptional service and support that you have become accustomed to in your relationship with GoDaddy.com.”

Over the past seven years, Brad far exceeded my expectations for an account manager, and he was my point person whenever I had any issues at Go Daddy, even if they had nothing to do with account management. Brad is a masterful communicator, and he handled my account as if it was his only account. From what I understand, his other clients felt the same way about Brad.

I recently learned that Brad is no longer with the account management group at Go Daddy. Instead, Brad has taken a leadership position at his church, which has been his passion and is something he has wanted to do for many years.

In his role as Executive Pastor at Gateway Church Scottsdale, Brad will serve his church and community in a variety of ways. He is thrilled to be working with a great team developing systems and overseeing operations for a new and growing church, but he is most excited to work with and manage what he feels to be the most valuable asset of any church: the people. While this transition may seem like quite a departure from his current business role, you can be sure that Brad’s commitment to helping others maximize their online presence in the web community will most certainly be incorporated into his ministry role.

Because of Brad’s standing at Go Daddy, Brad will still be working with the company in the capacity of providing training for its  Premier  Services Team. It is my hope that the account managers will live up to the high standards set by Brad.

I wish Brad nothing but the best, and I hope he stays in touch.

  1. Brad was my account manager for the past several years as well. Nothing but great things to say about him and the job he did while at GoDaddy. Good luck Brad with all of your future endeavors.

  2. I, too had the privilege of being one of Brad’s clients.

Kudos added to all the others’ comments.

His new flock will be very well cared for.

  3. I sure miss phoning into GD Platinum and asking for Brad Pitt…as well as certainly the TLC Mr. L gave to my accounts… But I knew it was likely and am glad it is so that Brad is still in the loop with maintaining and enhancing a high quality rapport between GD and customer…as well as some likely positive innovation and Win-Win implementations …. GoooooooooooDaaaddy !!!

  4. He was the best rep I ever had at any company. Nobody handled problems as good as him.

It’s great to see he’s going where he wants to go instead of taking a job he’s unhappy with.

It’s a huge loss for GoDaddy because he has a library of domain knowledge and experience that just can’t be replicated very easily at all. I’m really sad to see him go.

    All the best, Brad!

  5. From my calls to Executive Accounts, there are now at least ten, long time employees who have departed GoDaddy.com. They are listed below.

Go Daddy now states that they offer equity in the company to employees. That would indicate that the people below would not benefit from a possible IPO at Go Daddy.

Does this seem normal to have so many employees leave even with the equity they would have in Go Daddy?
