Beer Friday – What’s Your Favorite?

Inspired by the video put together by the team over at Name.com, I wanted to keep it light today and ask you what your favorite beer is.

I enjoy beer and have a few favorites:

  1. Yuengling Lager
  2. Abita Purple Haze
  3. Kilkenny
  4. Sam Adams Cherry Wheat
  5. Sam Adams Cream Stout

If you drink beer, what are your favorites? I will be sure to have some in the fridge at the next house party.

  1. Heineken is one of my favorites (it’s close to 100 degrees here in San Diego today … so I think a beer might be a good idea!).

  2. Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is my current favorite. I will be trying some Polygamy Porter this weekend for the first time and am looking forward to that though=)

  3. Microbrew/Ales:
    Fat Tire (New Belgium Brewery)
    90 Shilling (Odells Brewery)
    Stone IPA (Stone Brewing Co)

    Lagers:
    Modelo
    Olympia
    Bud

It’s been about a month since I’ve had a beer though!

  4. Well, depends on the type of beer…

    Pilsner:
    • Rothaus Tannenzäpfle
    • Grolsch
    • Flensburger

    Kölsch:
    • Päffgen
    • Peters
    • Mühlen

    Weizen:
    • Weihenstephaner Kristallweizen
    • Spaten
    • Paulaner

..but if I had to pick one it definitely would be a Kölsch beer, preferably Päffgen.

    cheers
    John

  5. Can’t go wrong with Guinness, Sam Adams and red wine. A good dark miro beer I like and going to local breweries

Back in college days and smoking some good shit used to do drink Busch and keg stands

  6. My tastes are simple, Yuengling, Kalik, Kubuli (when in Dominica) and El Presidente.

While traveling in Mexico I picked up the habit of putting salt on the rim of the glass and squeezing a few limes in the beer, which I still do at home. The Mexicans make a more spicy version called a Michelada with Clamato and Hot sauce: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelada guaranteed to grow hair on your chest!

  7. Good Yorkshire bitter for a cozy pub:
    Timothy Taylor’s Landlord
    Samuel Smiths

Good German pils for a raging thirst:
    Becks
    Warsteiner

With all beer, make sure it’s brewed with all natural ingredients and avoid the hangover.
The German purity law of 1516 is good to look out for on labels. Most micro-breweries worth their salt stick to it.

    Cheers!

  8. I registered 3samadams.com

    4dvodka.com

  9. Molson Golden
    Harp Lager
    Bass Ale
    Saranac (multiple types)
    Sam Adams
Abita (Turbo Dog & Purple Haze) – from Louisiana

Arrogant Bastard Ale — a robust & strong one brewed in So. Cal

    Cheers for Beers !!!
