Advertise on One of the Largest Networks of Generic Domain Names

Every Internet marketer and advertiser knows about advertising on Google, Yahoo, and Bing. You can buy text and display advertisements to run on those search engines and on the websites of their content network partners. I bet there’s another advertising network that operates on one of the best portfolios of generic domain names that many savvy marketers have no idea about.

The World News Network was founded in 1995, and it operates on some of the most valuable generic domain names. In fact, I have seen the Whois information on countless lookups – especially those involving geodomain names. If you’ve ever seen this information in a Whois look up, you’ve come across a domain name in the WN network: “Domain Finance Inc. Minakumari Periasamy.”

The company offers advertising opportunities, including text links, on some of its websites. Conveniently enough, information about advertising with the company can be found on the domain name, Displays.com.

Here is a very short list of domain names in the World News Network:

  • WorldNews.com & WN.com
  • Feed.com
  • WorldPhotos.com
  • Telecommunication.com
  • Students.com
  • Phones.com
  • Gas.com
  • Oil.com
  • Cartoons.com
  • Broadcasting.com
  • SolarPower.com
  • HealthFoods.com
  • Astronomer.com
  • Pollution.com

In my opinion, one of the most impressive aspects of the company’s generic domain portfolio is its geographic domain names. Some of the geodomain names in the WN portfolio include:

  • AbuDhabi.com
  • Baghdad.com
  • Tehran.com
  • Islamabad.com
  • Dubai.com
  • Majorca.com
  • Quito.com
  • RioDeJaneiro.com
  • Prague.com
  • Nairobi.com
  • Malaga.com

If your company is looking to advertise online to an international audience, you might consider looking into the World News Network. If you are a domain investor and want to see one of the best portfolios of generic domain names ever assembled, you might want to check this company out. Chances are good that you’ve come across them many times before.

  1. Do you know anybody who has used them personally and how have the results been? Do they offer CPC advertising?
I did not see that on the site. Love to hear feedback from others.

    Thanks, Jim

  2. I am wondering who is this guy? He had been under radar for a long time… Will be nice to have him as cover story.

  3. Whatever…these names are alright, but come on now, damn!….the domain name game is OVER – wake up!!!!! You better have revenues…if you’ve waited this long…then you LOSE, LOSERS!!!!

    • @ Jimbo

LOL… I am still doing pretty damn okay in this “domain game.” Only the unsuccessful people who have failed at buying/selling domain names would say something like that.

  4. @Jimbo,

LOL as well, I started buying domains in 1998. During the .com bust in 2001, I had friends tell me it’s over, to get out of the game, it’s over. I did the exact opposite and start buying like crazy and told everybody to “Fu#k off and take there corporate dead-end, ass kissing jobs, with them.

From 2004-present, I been very busy helping those “naysayers” putting the “big foot” in there mouths, while I work out of my home making $XXX,XXX a year working about 2-3 hours a day while I hang out with my twin 2 year old daughters everyday.

Now, 2010, I see it like 2001 all over again. People making comments like you did Jimbo, but there are more opportunities today than I have seen in the 13 years I have been in this business.

I don’t like to always tell my story, but there are many people entering the industry who read this blog and I want to let them know there are tremendous opportunities in this industry if you started today.

    Good Luck, Jim

  5. Losers see a dead end, winners see opportunities. Well Said Elliot and Jim 🙂

I learned a lot from this blog and I’ll buy you guys beer when I get to your ranks. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and experiences Elliot!

I’m not sure though if my comments are coming in… the site seems to just go to a blank page whenever i comment.

  6. I also came across WN.COM before, curious as to what kind of SEO trickery they were doing because they’re site was coming up high in the SERPs. Their pages on WN look weird with lots of javascript magic.

I didn’t know they had a great portfolio of domains too! Thanks for sharing Elliot
